Having have won local and national awards for studio and location portraiture I strive to create the best possible images for all sittings. Where possible, I like to meet clients ahead of their sitting. At this meeting it is helpful to discuss their portrait requirements and how they wish to display the finished product i.e. wall portrait , canvas wrap etc.
Portrait sittings are carried out in the studio or on location. Prices lists are in the right hand columns.
A studio portrait is more flexible as the sitting can be booked well in advance to suit your schedule and is not weather dependent. Prior to the sitting we will have discussed any combination of family members and so take a good selection of images to ensure a choice of expressions. There is no limit to the amount of images taken at the sitting. The background used will have been discussed before hand and is either:
High key ( white background) - usually a combination of relaxed and formal pictures. OR
Traditional (brown background) - usually for more formal pictures.
Location portraiture allows a greater flexibility, as the photographs are unique and very personal to the client. The sitting can be in the your home, garden or another location - or a combination of these. Most location portrait clients purchase a wall portrait as a finished product so I prefer to discuss in detail your requirements, ideally this is with family prior to the sitting on location. This will create a more relaxed atmosphere on the day. There is no restriction on the number of images taken or the family combinations.
